TRAINING options
Every dog, owner, and home is different but the pillars of good training remain the same. Below are our three most common training package options. We are happy to discuss with you your situation, dog breed, and expectations to figure out which option will work for you, your family, and your dog. Our goal is to reduce the stress for you and your dog so that you can both enjoy the best relationship with each other.
Puppy Behavior course
Developing a foundation of good habits from the beginning.
(1) Private One-Hour Session for puppies under 16 weeks old (additional sessions offered if needed).
If you have a new puppy in the family, we have a way to get them (and you!) off to a great start! Developing and maintaining a strong foundation of good habits when your puppy is young is critical for lifelong success and happiness for your puppy and you. By starting young, you can avoid bad behaviors when your puppy is older and more challenging to correct.
During your session we’ll give you the dog behavior knowledge, tools and techniques you need to start your puppy off right and continue their entire life. We will cover how to reinforce good behaviors and prevent unwelcome ones. You will learn the basics of:
-
Basic Puppy Rules & Manners: Greeting, Door, & Meal Manners

Prevention of Unwelcome Behaviors
-
Crate Training

Housebreaking

At each lesson we will teach a principle or principles that you will then continue to work on daily with your dog for the week and a half or two weeks until the next lesson. At the next session we will review where needed and then add a new principle for you to work on as well as address any questions or issues you may have.

How to Speak Your Dog's Language
Each session we will teach a principle or principles that you will work on daily with your dog for a week and a half to two weeks. In the next session we will review where needed and then build on that foundation by adding a new principle for you to work on as well as addressing any other areas of concern you may have.
*If a dog is not properly trained in its puppy stage than there is a process to their unlearning bad behavior. Resetting is communicating in the dog's language that, at last, the leader it has been looking for is here and ready to establish boundaries and provide clear expectations and communication. After this, proper training can begin - and the dog is most often eager for it!
Cost: $200 Initial, $100 additional Sessions
Duration: average 4-8 weeks depending on dog
Puppy Academy
Developing a foundation of good habits from the beginning.
If you have a new puppy in the family, we have a way to get them (and you!) off to a great start! Your puppy comes to stay with us for 2-4 months. Before that, however, we come for a visit! We learn about your home and lifestyle and then we are able to tailor our training to meet the needs of your unique family.
During Puppy Academy we introduce basic obedience concepts as well as housebreaking, leash walking, socialization, and other common skills. Upon graduating from Puppy Academy, your dog will have been trained in:
-
Housebreaking
-
Obedience to Basic Commands
-
Socialization
-
Prevention of Unwelcome Behaviors
-
Transition to Your Home
-
Crate Training
-
Basic Puppy Rules & Manners: Greeting Manners, Door Manners, & Meal Manners
Our Puppy Academy is an ideal option for:
-
Families with work schedules that make crate training/all-day supervision difficult
-
Busy moms
-
Families who may be unable to keep up with the demands of a young puppy
-
First-time dog owners who aren't sure how to handle a puppy
At the final stage of Puppy Academy we will bring your puppy back to your home and spend 1-2 hours training you and your family on behavior, commands, and how to carry on the training with your puppy.

DOG CAMP
Dog camp is a comprehensive training program which includes boarding your dog for an immersive experience. We will visit with you, find out about your home and lifestyle, and then tailor our training at our location to meet those needs.
The typical stay is four weeks and includes basic manners and obedience. During that time your dog will live in our home and interact with us as well as with our very stable pack of six dogs. Incorporation into the pack provides vital socialization skills and allows your dog to learn from them as well as from us.
Training covered at Dog Camp:
-
Resetting to Neutralize Bad Habits/Training*
-
Reprogramming for Appropriate Dog Behaviors & Manners
-
Pack Exposure (Seven Dogs)
-
Doorway Manners & Leash Walking
- Basic Commands including: Sit, Stay, Here/Come, Off (Don't Jump), Leave/Drop
- Customized Training based on your Needs/Home/Lifestyle
At the end of Dog Camp we will spend one to two hours with you in your home training you to be able to continue enforcing the proper and loving boundaries, rules and limitations that your dog has now been trained in.
*Same as with the Basic Obedience for dogs a year or older, if a dog is not properly trained in its puppy stage than there is a process to their unlearning bad behavior. Resetting is communicating in the dog's language that, at last, the leader it has been looking for is here and ready to establish boundaries and provide clear expectations and communication. After this, proper training can begin - and the dog is most often eager for it!
